Photography Summer Camp
Class meets July 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th, from 9:00 am–3:00 pm.
HCP’s Summer Camps introduce young enthusiasts to the world of photography. In this camp, students will become familiar with camera basics and photographic processing software such as Photoshop, Lightroom and Bridge, learning color and image correction as part of the photographic process. Young photographers will also learn about the history of photography and how great images are created!
Summer Camps include lectures, hands-on activities creative writing, indoor and outdoor photographic sessions, editing and feedback sessions.
No prior photographic experience needed.
About the Instructor:
Emilee Cooney—HCP’s Education Assistant / Outreach team member, student and photographer–is studying towards earning a BA in Studio Arts-Photography with a minor in History through the MFAH’s Glassell Studio School, partnered with the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. Emilee started her journey with HCP in the Fall of 2010 as a participant of Collaborations VIII. To this day, she continues to cherish every moment and experience HCP provides her and plans to support the organization indefinitely.

Registration for courses and workshops takes place through HCP's website on a first-come first-serve basis. HCP members receive discount on all of our education events. If this is your first time taking a course or workshop at HCP you will need to create a profile online; make sure to add the camp participant's name at the "student name" field. Registration will be complete upon receipt of the filled student form.
