Alternative Printing: Cyanotype

Class meets Sunday: August 20th, from 11:00 am–5:00 pm.

Alternative Printing: Cyanotype class will have you seeing cool blue. This is a multi-step one-day workshop at HCP, which will introduce you to the marvels of digital inkjet negatives and its uses for contact printing in the traditional, pre-film, cyanotype process.

The first part of the workshop will be in the digital darkroom and will include all of the necessary steps for creating quality digital negatives. The second part of the workshop will be a hands-on and in-depth demonstration of the cyanotype process. Additionally, you’ll get a historical overview of the classic cyanotype process through print examples, reference texts and online resources.
