Wildflower Workshop: Photographing Texas Blooms

Saturday, April 7th, from 8:00 am–12:00 pm at Washington on Brazos
Tuesday, April 10th, from 6:00–9:00 pm at HCP

Flower Power! Texas Bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrushes and Field Poppies–learn how to photograph them all. In this workshop, you will learn tips and tricks that will enable you to capture your very best wildflower images. We’ll discuss nature and landscape photography, using examples from both historic and contemporary photographers, as well as field equipment. You will also go on a field expedition—Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park—for an on-location shoot. Photos will then be evaluated in a friendly group critique.

Day 2: Field Trip at Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park
Day 3: Follow-up critique at HCP

What to bring to class:
Digital Camera with 'Manual' Mode
Camera manual
Tripod (recommended)
Final work presented in print or digital (jpegs on CD or USB drive) format on last day

Suggested Pre-requisites:
Photography I: Learning the Basics or
Knowledge of shutter speed, aperture, film speed and light metering
