  Start Date August 11
  Time 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  Instructor Jan Rattia

Class meets two Saturdays, August 11th & 18th, from 3:00 - 7:00pm

The Making of a Portrait: Advanced Portraiture, we will contemplate portraiture and consider multiple approaches to creating impactful images. The class will begin with a philosophical look at what a portrait is, and will collectively define it.

The work of key historical and current practitioners will be considered, and various styles in portraiture will be explored in weekly assignments. The class will experiment with both available (natural) and studio light. The goal is for participants to start developing their own style(s) and determine when and how to use different approaches to bring their photographic vision to fruition.
