Experience life through the ground-glass in this 10-hour course on large format photography! Through discussion and lecture, students will learn the history of the large format camera. They will also learn how it has been used in both studio and field environments, as well as the differences between modern and antique cameras and lens design.

Guided demonstrations will provide participants with hands-on experience, where they will learn how to operate view and rail cameras. Students will work with HCP-provided large format cameras both in the studio and in the landscape. Finally, students will process their own large format B&W negatives and make contact prints!
