HCP’s Tackling Event Photography dives into the process of building a business and thriving as an event photographer. The best way to build confidence is experience and this workshop offers just that! Over the course of the class, Resident Instructor, Mark Chen will teach students best practices by using professional techniques and strategies to make their businesses successful. Some topics covered include; the best lenses for various circumstances, camera settings, use of flash and positioning during shooting scenarios.

An event photographer needs to be prepared before, during, and after an event for all situations in order to exceed the client’s expectations, with this in mind, the instructor will also teach participants how to prepare and coordinate the event. The class will set up a mock event for participants to test out their newfound knowledge and work out any kinks they may experience. Whether it’s a wedding, quinceanera, bar mitzvah, etc., this course will lead event photographers one step closer to accomplishing their professional goals.
