Come capture the outrageous, fanciful, functional playland that is the Orange Show and Smither Park. Located in the East End, The Orange Show is an architectural maze of walkways, balconies, arenas and exhibits decorated with mosaics and brightly painted iron figures. The Orange Show is Houston’s hub of folk art activity with nationally respected programs.
The recently-opened Smither Park, designed by renowned architect Dan Philips, features an amphitheater, memory wall, meditation area, covered pavilion, swings and an interactive sculpture, each adorned with elaborate mosaic work created out of recycled and found materials designed and executed by local artists and those interested in exploring their own creative potential.
We have reached max capacity for January's Capture Crawl. We hope to see you at the next Capture Crawl!
A final update email will be sent later that afternoon to those who have RSVP'd.
As a reminder, Capture Crawl events are available to members only. There will be no admission for family or friends.
Please email Megan Sparks or call 713.529.4755 ext.10 if you have any questions.
