Join us as we take an evening stroll through what Travel + Liesure magazine has called one of the top 10 most beautiful college campuses in America. Nearing the 125th anniversary of its founding charter, Rice University's 285-acre campus is rich in architecturural splendors, world-class public art, and a bustling metropolitan student body.
Meeting Times and Places (see map below):
6:30pm - Meet at the statue of William Marsh Rice. From here, you may group together or head off individually to snap at your heart's content. I will have hard copies of the Rice map as well as a specific one dedicated to the public art on campus.
7:30pm (sundown 7:40)- James Turrell's "Twilight Epiphany". While photography is not allowed inside the space, HCP Capture Crawl members are invited to wind down from the day with the Skyspace's sunset light sequence, lasting approximately 40 minutes. *UPDATE* - Due to the school semester's having started and cancelling last week's plans, I am not able to get a block reservation for the group. If you are interested in viewing the sunset sequence, please visit here to make a personal reservation. (As of 5:00pm Wednesday, there are still spots open)
8:30pm - Valhalla Pub. Finish out the evening with a drink and share your favorite spots and shots from the day
