Co-curated by HCP and Aurora Picture Show, Txt Me L8r explores the potential for distributed creativity through the use of cell phone technology. Combining crowdsourcing with networked communication, Txt Me L8r encouraged artists and the general public alike to adapt new technologies for spontaneous, geographically-dispersed collaboration.

On July 9, artists and the general public were invited through a special HCP/Aurora E-news to sign up on a first-come first-serve basis to participate in this year´s SPIN exhibition. These artists, alongside another 24 pre-selected artists, received text message photography assignments sent throughout the month of August leading up to the event. Participants responded to the assignments and uploaded their results to a photo-sharing site, which will then be video projected as slideshows in HCP´s galleries. Revelers at this year´s annual SPIN party on August 24th also recieved a "text message assignment" at the door. Their responses were projected live in HCP´s galleries. This year´s SPIN party featured an open bar sponsored by Real Ale Brewing Company and music by sound artist Stephen Orsak.
