In November, HCP will present an exhibition examining the role of photography in science organized by HCP’s curator Libbie Masterson. Masterson will organize the exhibition around some of the ways in which science and medicine have benefitted from photography, and how photography has actually influenced their progress. The exhibition will reference 19th century photography while presenting work by contemporary photographers, scientists, and Medical doctors, as well as a large installation by French artists René Sultra and Maria Barthélémy, involving LED woven fabric and optical scanners. We will welcome as a guest speaker Dr. Eric Fossum, the engineer formerly with JPL, who developed the CMOS sensor and technology used in the PillCam.
