Building Your Photo Website

Over 3.5 billion people are now connected to the internet. Get some of those eyes on your photographs by presenting your work online with your own website!

This class will teach students about hosting, content management, popular website building options and templates, open source tools to build your audience, and how to optimize your work for the web.

The instructor will discuss the common parts of a functioning website design and share examples of successful photo portfolio sites. You will learn to design simple web graphics and optimize your photos for display on the Internet. You will also learn to utilize Photoshop as an effective photo-editor for web-design and as a publishing tool to customize basic design templates and create an individual photo sharing website.

Some basic knowledge of Photoshop is useful, but no previous experience of website design is necessary. This class is for anyone looking to create a beautiful, hassle-free website!
